[ Cotswolds
I’m starting to believe that if you arrive to a different country in the evening, you’ll get over the jet lag sooner. So I was away to England for another biz trip the other week. Arrived on a Saturday night pretty late. Had to go to a place on Sunday night for opening biz dinner but had some free time in the morning. So met…. (continue reading….)
… up with a old friend from back in the UK uni. years and this is where we went before having to switch to the biz mode. 😀 With many thanks!
The weather was not as warm I thought…. Actually it was kinda chilly. And guess what? My luggage was all ready for tropical land. The only long sleeves I got was my biz suit. Glad that i didn’t get a cold otherwise the next few days would have been unbearable. lol.
The sunflower with no sun around. It was rather windy and cloudy.
Snowshill is quite famous for its lavender farms.
These small flowers have the pattern of a kaleidoscope.
Cotswolds countryside is filled with many of these cute and cozy-looking old houses.
Then we came across and stopped by the Snowshill Manor. Not knowing anything about it.
The manor has a large garden and the buildings look a bit old. This is a medieval “romance" kind of character as decoration on the exterior of the house with relatively fresh-looking paint.
The manor was owned by Charles Wade. And it was once described as “a house of evening hours, surely the loveliest spell of the day". It is a traditional and typical Cotswold house.
The priest’s room. The room smells like a old place.. actually quite similar to the smell of Herstmonceux Castle.
A small part of a room that looked like a old garage. But also feels quite like a old chemist’s experimental table.
Traditional English gardens always seem to have a “clock" that looks rather complicated.
This face is just hilarious.
The garden has a pretty rare collection of “odd" looking plants.
These are not fungi; they’re living plants.
Flowers with color that reminds me of beer.
I think it’s a pretty environmental way of collecting visitors’ feedback.
